Gunung Suku via A181, 31300 Ipoh, Perak

Distance: 6.5km
Elevation Gain: 950m
Rated: 5.0/10

Gunung Suku, a mountain situated close to Cameron Highland with a height of 1,797m above sea level, this mountain is one of those mountain with steep elevation 90% of the way. To get here, use "4.555596, 101.322949" and park your car on the road side as shown in the picture below. There no public facilities available here and permit is required to climb the mountain but guide is not mandatory.

The mileage to the peak is short, only 3km, but it elevation is a non-stop climb. With 900m+ in just 3km, it even steeper than Gunung Nuang overall. It take roughly 2-3 hours to reach the peak. It definitely a tough hike up to the peak but the view here is worth it with nice panorama view. For your info, the peak is "botak", so if you in the afternoon, it can be hot.

The overall hike may take around 8 hours at most. It a tough climb up but the view is definitely worth the climb. Now only if KL is situated closer to Cameron Highland.....
